At first glance, Blackstar 2 probably looks the same as my previous work Blackstar. However, where Blackstar is black on black, Blackstar 2 reverses this so that the image is instead black on black (no, really!). Both Blackstars and the smaller Blackstar 3 are exploring the use of black on black to create images that appear and disappear depending on the lighting conditions. The images here are all of the same work, but with different exposures to mimic various lighting conditions.
