Abraham Lincoln 1.2

Series of ten*

The Abraham Lincoln 1x series are the smallest stamp works that I have made to date. They are A3 sized and consist of 170 stamps. They are based on the Salvador Dali work “Gala contemplating the Mediterranean Sea”. I find it remarkable that the human brain can recognise this image as Lincoln, despite being very low resolution. I have made Abraham Lincoln in a number of colour palettes, each of which are available in a series of ten. Abraham Lincoln 1.2 uses a green palette.

*Due to printing variation, postmarks and wear, each stamp is unique. These variations are used to “paint” the overall image. Consequently works in a series, whilst depicting the same overall image, are completely unique hand made pieces.
